As we all know, cyberattacks are growing rapidly, and this has made the industry to think about it on a serious note. It is necessary to prevent the data and all the information flow from occurring over any channel. This is done to maintain the integrity of data and also to prevent confidential data from getting exposed.

Here the main concern goes to secure the network, and this is where Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have played a predominant role. The concept of artificial intelligence has brought many ideas to achieve cybersecurity. The greater the opportunity, so are the challenges associated with it.

Many challenges come with the introduction and implementation of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. Hence cybersecurity requires the securing of surface, using skilled professionals.

Various Artificial Intelligence models take care of such things. Those models help the organization to keep track of their records.

In this way, they also get the proper management skills and many of the challenges get solved. Various fields have benefited from the introduction of artificial intelligence and machine learning in cybersecurity. The technique of noting and keeping a record of the date on which the cyberattack occurred is known as threat exposure. This solution is provided by hackers.

The impact or the outcome of all the tools, programs, and techniques that we are going to use, should be appropriately checked. This is done to fill all the loopholes that might hinder the strength and growth of our network. We need to understand the Artificial Intelligence program before implementing it in any application.

Then there is another term – Breach Risk Prediction. The artificial intelligence systems help us in determining the weak points of the network. It helps in identifying the points where the system can be breached. Once we get to know the weak points in our system, we can allow the specific resources and tools to that.

These predictive and prescriptive insights provided by artificial intelligence and machine learning helps a lot in maintaining security. This provides to maintain the smooth and efficient working of the system with high security possible. In this way, we can protect the system at a basic level from various attacks as we have saved the weak point of our system.

Another way to improve cybersecurity is by giving an early response to the security alerts. This will help us in the early protection of the system. Artificial intelligence systems do this. They generally prioritize the security alerts and depending on the priority they look towards them. This helps in giving a fast response to the system issues and avoiding the system from breakout.

Various companies have started using artificial intelligence for cybersecurity at a very early stage. They understand the need and significance of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It is very important to train the machines to work on their own, and also to make them capable of working like human brains.

By imparting the decision making capability in machines, we make them capable of functioning like humans. In this way, they get a broader view,

As the trained machines have excellent analysis and predictability, so the automation makes them capable of taking decisions on a broad scale. They can analyze various factors at a high pace and find the loopholes very efficiently.

This will help us in better analysis and would prevent us from the risk of cyberattack and data loss due to this. Though, the involvement of artificial intelligence has many challenges associated with it. This is the best way of securing our data and network.

Applications of Artificial Intelligence

Companies like Google, IBM, Juniper Notebooks, Balbix, etc. have started using artificial intelligence for cybersecurity quite early. They have implemented various tools and techniques which work in a synchronized manner and find the loopholes associated with the code or the system to allow the organization to fill them.

Google started using artificial intelligence with Gmail. It started with the option of email filtering. For this purpose, it required various technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and much more.

This helped Google in gaining the proper control over the incoming mails in Gmail which became an advanced feature and helped in properly sorting and organizing the mails. This might seem quite a basic application of artificial intelligence but it is one of the most predominant applications. This is the base that has made Gamil grow at a faster rate.

Then comes the team of – IBM/Watson. They are planning to make an interactive and innovative machine learning model that would use its automation to overcome the problem of cyberattacks.

It would be an effective, efficient, and automated model that would help the system to find the loopholes and try to rectify them.

In this way, there would be the proper utilization of the automation and analysis capability of the model. The company is continuously working on the improvised version of such a model which would have all the latest features.

This will help them to expand their business along with a safe and secure network that would provide them with better output.

Juniper Notebooks focuses on networking. They are trying to make an autonomous and efficient network that would be advanced by the use of technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence. They call these the self-driven networks.

This is one of the wonderful things about autonomous networking, that once it has been implemented, it checks all the workload itself and distributed the work over the whole system accordingly. It also keeps an eye on the security alerts.

The most effective application is given by Balbix and that too when the introduction of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity just began. They tried to control the breaches by providing real-time threat prediction and its analysis. They predict real-time risks and do the analysis accordingly. This platform has provided cybersecurity in a very efficient manner.

Challenges to Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity

Many hackers try to break through security using artificial intelligence. So, there is a two-way pathway of artificial intelligence. It is used to provide security over the internet, to protect the system from hackers but the hackers can also use the same technology to break the security that we have implemented. This is a very critical situation and it requires the main concern.

Here data manipulation is necessary to recover the data, in case we lose the data due to any cyberattack. Machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms can help us to guard our system against these attacks but it also depends on the efficiency of the algorithm and the effectiveness with which they are written.

This all takes time and proper knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, neural networks, supervised learning, and much more. With the depth knowledge of these domains, one can implement the best possible algorithm that will not only guard the state but will have a regular security check and keep the concerned organization updated abut the current cyber attacks probability.

Artificial intelligence Is Changing Cyber Security

Technology is rising at a faster pace and the world is going digital. Each aspect of life and each sector of technology is now digitalized. This has made tremendous improvements in the business field. This is the biggest achievement that the world has made. Above, we have seen that there are also challenges associated with artificial intelligence.

The challenges are quite important to be noted and require our immediate action. This would make us think, then why do we need artificial intelligence in cybersecurity if it has such great challenges associated with it.

The answer is simple – these technologies also [rovide us with enormous benefits that overpower the challenges. One of the main advantages that machine learning has given is fraud and threat detection.

For this machine learning helps the machines by training them on a particular data set so that they can relate the pattern that should be followed in the system. If the pattern deviates in any case, then the threat is detected.

This is done very carefully. The training, learning, and understanding of the machines should be efficient. Artificial intelligence provides the basic and the most important feature, i.e., password protection and authentication.

This is the key security to any device or application. When this security first arrived, it became very difficult for us to remember the password. Now, it has become one of the common security types.

Then another example of machine learning and artificial intelligence is AI-ML used in prevention control. They are also used in phishing. The hackers may try to give phishing emails to attack your system. Here, AI-ML plays a major role as they detect such emails or messages and provide a security alert. Some emails are also put in the category of spam mails so that we would get the note that the mail can be a phishing email.

Then comes vulnerability management. Here Artificial Intelligence plays its important role. It detects the vulnerabilities and does the proper risk prediction and analysis and provides the data analysis.

This is very effective as then we can manage the tools and resources accordingly. Then study the pattern used by hackers, try to decode them, and provide the best decision that should be taken. Network security is a must. This all helps in properly directing artificial intelligence.

Overall, we can say that artificial intelligence is a boon when it comes to cybersecurity as all the work from detection to prediction is to be done by the machine itself. This would make them a bit more in demand. With all this, the automation and human-like thinking.

It has provided us with various options as already mentioned above and with one of the main things, i.e., cognitive security. This makes the system stronger and smarter. There are many suggestions also try to improve the current mechanism. In this way, AI plays a predominant role in almost all sectors.

Future Scope

There is a high chance of development and progress in this field. The domain of cybersecurity requires automation so that the algorithms would make the best decision possible to secure the system from hackers. With the pacing technology, artificial intelligence would be a part of almost all the domains. This has provided enormous benefits by reducing cybercrime.

The automation in networks and cybersecurity would lead us to attain heights. These two domains in combination would ensure that our data remains safe and protected. This will revolutionize the whole world. The capability of technology has made us able to achieve such heights.
